Dharlan O.

I have already done some courses in udacity related to machine learning. I real like the courses offered by udacity. This time is no different. It's a very good content explained in detail. The projects are the top part, because you have the oportunite to practice the content and fix what you learned.

Kiryłł K.

This particular course and project was really great. I've managed to learn a lot about Kafka and Kafka-related tools and solutions. It would be great if there will be next step course with streaming for really more advanced projects to continue improvement of data streaming skills.

Goran S.

The program has matched my expectations so far. The lectures are not too long, there are enough information and details to cover the project and to scratch the surface of the Kafka world. The project himself is interesting, covers most of the learned in the course. So far so good.

Uirá C.

It is a nice program. However, something that I found little annoying was not being able to check the webserver output when using Udacity workspace. It would be nice to do so... and to have some experience setting Kafka on Cloud as well.

Priyanka P.

Grateful for the platform provided. It is really great.I have amazing learning experience.I am looking forward to enhance my skills further. It helped me to enhance my skill as well as discipline me for overall growth.

Matthew S.

This is my second nanodegree and I am loving it so far! So far no complaints except for the price which seems a little high. But you do get a lot so it evens the program out to a certain extent.

FAQs

Read below for answers to Frequently Asked Questions.
  • What happens if my profile is selected?

If your profile is selected for an internship application, the next steps for the Software Engineer interview process will be:

    • AT&T will send you an email to take an online technical assessment. You will have 3 days to complete this assessment so make sure you have time available for this once you apply. Please note that this assessment is scored on a point scale. You do not have to be perfect to pass the assessment, so do not give up if you struggle in any one section.
    • If you pass the online technical assessment, AT&T recruiters will reach out for screening phone calls where they will ask questions around your technical experience and education while evaluating your “soft skills” around communication, problem-solving, detail orientation, teamwork, and collaboration.
    • Top candidates will then be invited for a final round of 2 technical interviews which will include a session on “pseudo live coding.”
  • I can’t find the option to select the internship program in my Udacity Profile. How do I do this?

To be considered for the program, please select “AT&T” in the drop-down for the question asking “Select which companies you are interested in” at the bottom of your profile. Once you’ve done this, simply follow the rest of the steps in the application process to ensure that your profile is considered for the internship program.

  • If I am not currently in college and am not a college graduate, will I be able to get through the first filter?

Unfortunately, no. To qualify for an internship, you must have or be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree or higher. To qualify for a full-time position, after the successful completion of an internship, a Bachelor’s degree must be completed. For both internships and full-time jobs, the major of study for the college degree is not a disqualifier. AT&T previously allowed applicants without College degrees to apply, but they are no longer able to do so.

  • Are there any age limits (minimum) on candidates for internships?

Yes. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older.

  • Are these paid internships?

    Yes!

  • Is there a relocation/lump sum stipend for the internship?

No. AT&T will not provide any moving or housing stipends above and beyond interns’ salaries.

  • When are these internships? When is the application period?

AT&T is hiring throughout 2020, with new application windows opening every 6-weeks. Interns will be able to begin their internships on a rolling basis throughout the year.

    2020 Application Windows:

    • Period 1: January 27th- March 7th
    • Period 2: March 8th- April 19th
    • Period 3: April 20th-May 31st
    • Period 4: June 1st- July 12th
Please note however that space at some AT&T offices is limited, so we encourage interested students to apply in the earlier application windows.
  • Do candidates all have to live in the US?

No, not when they apply for the opportunity. However, all of the internships are located in the US and AT&T will not sponsor applicants for work visas of any kind for this position.

  • What are the pathways to permanent jobs after the internship for high performers?

This program is a 10-12 week internship at 40 hours/week. At the conclusion of the internship, AT&T may make an offer to convert to a full-time role. This is the ultimate goal for AT&T.
